ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The Institution started offering MBA Course from 2009, The MBA program at VIET is an attempt to imbibe all the values and ethos that have made it an epitome of excellence. The department believes in the four pillar philosophy i.e. Academic Excellence, Research and innovation, Professional competence, Social Commitment and Industry Institute Interaction. MBA is a multidisciplinary course creates demand for getting placed in managerial roles in renowned organizations and it identifies entrepreneurial spirit among the students and conduct entrepreneurship development programmes.
VIET is a center of excellence in value based education .It has got dedicated full time faculty members varied experience in industry & Academic. The institution started offering MBA a course from 2009, with the ultimate objective of grooming the students into complete professionals and to equip the industry with contemporary global expertise. The faculty enables the students to acquire a combination of various technical skills and value focused decision making ability.
The teaching-learning process includes lecturing method, case study based, project based and field surveys. The department has personal growth (PG) club and communication club organized by the students and monitored by the faculty to enhance employability skills of the students through various curricular and extra-curricular activities like group discussions, role plays, presentations, management games, workshops, seminars, fun, sports and games. Students of MBA have been well supported and encouraged to participate in management.

Highlight of the Program
In today’s global competitive environment, competency based management is widely viewed as a major source of competitive advantage. To succeed in this environment, organization needs people with skills, knowledge and leadership to manage business effectively and to make corporations competitive.
The institute recognizes core strength in dynamic and volatile business environment. MBA program focuses on the determinants of real value for business, by emphasizing, business leadership and technology. MBA program provides with a valuable combination of management concepts and skill development that set it apart from other colleges. It offers specialization in Human Resource, Marketing, and Finance. The two year full time degree program includes basic core courses, electives and industry oriented summer internship.
The MBA program follows a semester pattern and imparts in-depth knowledge in the crosscuts of all academic areas and pools together resources from every functional area, thus driving home the importance of seeing the big picture in business. The student represents a good mix of fresh graduates from various disciplines and experienced professionals.
The program is build up on the functional knowledge of the students, permitting them to explore their interests to a greater depth of corporate problems. It emphasizes more on application of management principles and techniques with continuous industrial interactions. The industry oriented projects and assignments form the integral part of the curriculum that helps in individual betterment with due emphasis on team work.

Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. It is now defined as an act that violates or is perceived to violate an individual student’s dignity. Ragging is totally banned in the campus and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or helping ragging is liable to be punished as it is criminal offence. Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology College ensures strict compliance on the prevention of Ragging in the form.

Education should bring in moral ethical values of well being to learners and every educator and educating institutions should strive hard to bring in the core human values in the process of learning and focus on quality approach to ensure better living with better educated countrymen. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment ensures strict rules and regulations for students on behalf of discipline committee.
In compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India to have a special Sexual Harassment Committee as mandatory, the Women’s Grievance Cell also functions as Sexual Harassment Committee.
It provides confidential and supportive environment for members of the campus community who might likely have been sexually harassed; advises complainant of the informal and formal means of redressal, ensures the fair and timely redressal of sexual harassment complaints. (However so far no instances of sexual harassment have been reported)
It provides information regarding counselling and support services on the campus, and promotes awareness about sexual harassment through educational initiatives that encourages and fosters a respectful and safe campus environment.
